2025 Double – Sovereign NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo First Releases, The Royal Mint, Great Britain

The Sovereign 2025 pays tribute to the coin’s rich history and Jean Baptiste Merlen’s Royal Arms design that first appeared on The Sovereign 200 years ago. Faithfully remastered using state-of-the-art technology, this Double Sovereign gold coin features Merlen’s Royal Arms design on the reverse and the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings, on the obverse, marking the first time these designs have appeared together on The Sovereign. The coin is also noteworthy as it is the last editions of The Sovereign to be struck in rose gold at The Royal Mint.
