2013 Silver Proof Coin – €5 – 50th Anniversary of the Central Bank of Cyprus

Obverse Side
:
Τhe emblem of the Central Bank of Cyprus, the words «ΚΥΠΡΟΣ», «CYPRUS» and «KIBRIS» and the years «1963 – 2013».

Reverse Side
:
A composition depicting a young girl holding an olive branch with fruit, symbolising hope for the new period following the fifty years contribution of the Central Bank of Cyprus to the Cypriot economy. In the background the alternating symbols of the Cyprus pound and the euro refer to the official currency during the fifty year period. The coin’s nominal value of €5 is also depicted and there is circular inscription of the phrase «ΚΕΝΤΡΙΚΗ ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ ΤΗΣ ΚΥΠΡΟΥ 50 ΧΡΟΝΙΑ».
